Bob Driscoll
After graduating from Manhattan College with a BEE degree (equivalent to today’s MSEE), Bob worked as a Radar Systems design engineer at Hazeltine Corporation and Grumman Aircraft. Later, Bob was assigned to oversee the design of a computer system at Litton Industries. He subsequently joined Litton Industries, holding Program Management and Project Engineering positions. Eventually Bob was sent to Iran to perform logistical support for aircraft and missile programs. After returning to the United States, Bob went to work for Rockwell International as a Project Engineer.
At about that time, Bob decided on a career change, and took a sales position with Interstate Marketing Associates. He broadened his experience by selling into the electronics market. As he found out, he needed to sell into many different facets of the electronics market, because the marketplace changed year-to-year. After six years in this sales position – where he increased sales every year, Bob founded SCTS. For the last 16 years, Bob has been the president of SCTS.
Sales experience includes silicon photo detectors (including APDs), photo assemblies, resistors, magnetics, hybrids, transistors, and oscillators. The markets SCTS reaches are medical, industrial, commercial, and military. Several lines have distribution outlets that Bob supports. Through the years, Bob has developed a number of companies with whom he does does business and works with multiple departments within the company.
Bob brings with him an amazing 45 years of experience in the electronics industry – 22 years in sales and 23 years in design and management. This level of experience is a valuable commodity which is valued by all his principals.
